Welcome to our projects section. These are some of the projects that we have undertaken and some that are ongoing.

A dedicated account manager will be assigned to your project, they will work closely with you to ensure deadlines are met and your project is a success. We understand there may be changes to schedule and delays which are out of your control, we recognise these challenges and are adaptable and flexible.

Olympics, London 2012

500 Movements

The 2012 Summer Olympics, formally known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad was a major international multi-sport event. Hammond Transport were selected as a logistics supplier providing over 500 truck movements throughout the build-up and de-rig into venues throughout the UK.

Tower of London 2014

80 Movements

Poppies, Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red was a work of installation art placed in the moat of the Tower of London, between July and November 2014, commemorating the centenary of the outbreak of World War 1. It consisted of 888,246 ceramic Red Poppies, each intended to represent one British or Colonial Servicemen.

Hammond Transport were selected to collect and transport these fragile poppies, delivering direct to a packaging facility in the East Midlands. The collections were done at the Tower of London at 5am over a 2-week period. The loading was assisted by our Moffett fork lifts from the moat up to the parking area and on to our trucks. There were 80 full load dedicated artic movements.

London Fashion Week

50 Movements

LFW is a prestigious fashion clothing trade show that takes place in London twice a year in February and September, we have supported this event for the last 5 years delivering staging, AV and lighting, with 50 movements of rigids and artics running to tight schedules around the clock to make this event bigger and more successful year on year.

Royal Wharf development, London E16

150 Movements

Royal Wharf is a prime residential development on the Thames riverside in Silvertown. Hammond Transport were chosen to transport bespoke built pre-fabricated balconies for these beautiful luxury apartments offering fantastic views across the Thames. We delivered 150 movements with 6 artics per day to timed schedule over a 5-week period, our vehicles are fully compliant for this FORS Silver site.

Lush Summit, Old Billingsgate, London EC3

46 Movements

Old Billingsgate Market is an iconic venue in the City of London situated on the Thames riverside. This Victorian building was originally a Fish Market and has now evolved into one of the most sought-after event venues in London. For the second year running, we are the nominated logistics supplier to help make this fantastic event a success. Due to the restrictions on site, only vehicles up to 18 tonne are permitted, therefore the install was done using 23 x 18 tonners with large platform tail lifts over a period of two days, and the same again at De-rig. A 100% on-time delivery schedule was achieved.
