What is the FORS Gold Transport Accreditation?
The FORS scheme aims to enhance quality within fleet operations and is an accreditation scheme which businesses in the sector aspire to achieve. Taking into account fuel efficiency, safety, vehicle emissions and operations, the FORS scheme sets the standard for businesses within the logistics, transport and other plant / fleet operating sectors.
Settling clear benchmarks, the FORS scheme has been designed to ensure operators are always working within certain criteria and helps businesses to identify any areas in which they can improve. It is a voluntary scheme and awards different levels of accreditation, depending on how thoroughly a business meets the strict requirements. These levels are FORS Bronze, FORS Silver and FORS Gold – the highest accolade a business or fleet operator can be awarded.
